Jayson Tatum has joined his fellow 2017 draft class member, De’Aaron Fox in inking a Rookie Maximum Contract extension. The Boston Celtics star has signed a 5-year $163 million deal to remain in Boston.
Similar to Fox’s deal, the deal could be worth up to $195.6 million based on how he performs this season. If he is All-NBA 3rd team, he will get a projected $169.5 million, All-NBA 2nd team, a projected $182.6 million, and All-NBA 1st team, a projected $195.6 million. The final numbers won’t be known until the 2021-22 salary cap is finalized.
