Michael Porter Jr. Inks Max Extensions with Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets have signed Michael Porter Jr. to a 5 year max contract extension worth up to $207 million. He needs to make an All-NBA team this season to get that number, otherwise he will get $172 million.

Porter Jr. is coming off a terrific season in which he was healthy for the most part (61 games played). With his history of back injuries, this contract could age badly for the Nuggets. But if he can stay healthy, the Nuggets have now locked up one of the best cores in the NBA with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray already under long term deals.
