De’Aaron Fox the 1st from 2017 to Get the Max

De’Aaron Fox has officially inked a deal for a 5-year, $163 million rookie max contract extension. By signing this deal, he became the first member of the 2017 draft class to sign a maximum contract extension.

The deal could be worth up to $195.6 million based on how he performs this season. If he is All-NBA 3rd team, he will get a projected $169.5 million, All-NBA 2nd team, a projected $182.6 million, and All-NBA 1st team, a projected $195.6 million. The final numbers won’t be known until the 2021-22 salary cap is finalized.

You have to assume that Jayson Tatum will be joining him shortly.
